Rodney Gets No Respect

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich's list of indictments for corruption have shocked even jaded historians and journalists all too familiar with Illinois ignominious history of corruption. They include:
1) Attempting to sell Obama's vacated senate seat.

2) Trying to extort money from a children's hospital by threatening to cut its funding.

3) Threatening to shut down Chicago newspapers whose editorials are critical of his administration.

4) Trying to blackmail the incoming Obama administration to obtain high profile jobs for himself and his wife.

5) Attempting to sell the Governor's Mansion on e-Bay.

6) Attempting to have O'Hare airport made his own private jet landing facility.

7) Attempting to have 90% of the Chicago Cubs, Bears and Bulls revenues go directly into his own bank account.

8) Attempting to have all prior and future revenue from the film, "Chicago" directed to his own bank account.

9) Attempting to have the entire city of Chicago moved right next to Las Vegas.

10) Attempting to have Chicago heretofore known as "The First City".

11) Attempting to pardon Al Capone and Bugs Moran posthumously.

12) Attempting to extort money from an insurance company for all damages incurred during the Great Chicago Fire.

13) Attempting to extort from the Weather Bureau $10,000 for every mile of wind velocity that buffets the town.

14) Attempting to have the right to use in public proceedings the words "bleep" and "motherbleepin' " as an adjective before anyone he refers to, including family members.

Exactly, what are you trying to say? Don't mince words. Express yourself. Spell it out.
