Off My Chest

Sometimes I feel the need to get things off my chest---especially this bra which, around this time o' day, begins to chafe.

Okay---Nobel Peace Prize to Obama??
Huh??
The guys been in office 9 months and so far is all promise and "hope" and “good intentions” and golden oratory, but,

So far:

---No coherent health plan,

-- Two unnecessary wars raging in the Middle East, with lots of saber rattlin’ for more---- a coupla hundred innocent civilians killed by the drones in Afghanistan and Pakistan, ultimately on his orders.

*** He refuses to “look backward” and address the crimes of the Bush administration-- in fact even continues some of their more egregious curtailments of liberty.

*** Seeming inability to take seriously need for drastic action to save the planet from the human race's poisoning.

*** Talks the usual game about freedom and democracy, yet won’t allow his administration to cut aide to the repressive military coup government in Honduras, when doing so---as has been done by most of the world community---would all but assure the return to power of the democratically-elected president.

OR, another scenario:

This was a deliberate act on the part of the Nobel committee, knowing that Obama, as leader of the most powerful and influential nation on earth, will feel compelled to justify the honor by taking the path toward reconciliation and peace.
I hope with audacity.

Okay, what the hell did David Letterman do?
Unless I have the facts wrong, he was a very eligible bachelor, who was having sexual relations with people of the female persuasion.
Were any of the women on the staff whom he slept with sexually harassed or intimidated?
So far, not a word of that; which is not to say that one of them is not already having talks with an enterprising Johnny Cochran clone.
I don’t think he’s lying when he said all this happened before he married and his wife and he had a baby.
If that’s not the truth, then this is just something he’s going to have to work out with his wife, and it just ain’t anybody else’s friggin’ business.
