Here Come the Judgmental

Hey, I’m doing everybody…er…I mean, How’s Everybody Doing??
I have just been released on my own recognizance from ancient Tibet where I met with the Maharishi Mahesh “Guru to the Beatles” Yogi, shortly before he shuffled off to another incarnation.
I had to ask him one important question, the answer to which has now gone unfulfilled for more than 40 years:
“Did you really try to nail Mia Farrow??
He answered “Prudence. My child.”
“Ah, very sage advice indeed”, said I.
“No Grasshopper (he was a Kung Fu fan), her name was Prudence, Mia’s sister!”
“Well, I guess that was somewhat imPrudence of you!” I quipped.
“Huh?” said the great all-knowing spiritual master.
“Well, you know the Beatles did a song about her Dear Prudence, I said.
“Who?”
“No, not the Who---the Beatles!!”
“Oh, ‘Yes,!’ " he said.
“No not Yes, the Beatles! “
“Ah, The Band” “No…”
It was sadly apparent to me that the great Maharishi was suffering from a partial loss of omniscience. due to age.

Anyway, I flew in on Ancient Tibet Airways-- “You are Now Free to Roam Around the Cosmos””---in Second Class you have to beg for food---in First Class they give you a bowl!! Sorry ---No Chinese food.! They keep trying to hurt our Dalai!!”
I thought that a childish way of putting it…but who am I to judge?— for that matter, who is Ellen DeGeneres?!!

Which leads to the topic of Judging.
Do not all the great religious and spiritual traditions teach us not to be judgmental of others??
Well…Don’t They?!!
Listen you lunkheads, you gotta give me somethin’ here!! I mean, is this an assemblage or a painting of Lord Shiva?!! No, but I kid because I embrace with chi energy!
Incidentally, the wife Sylviadayenta’s and me, our song is Chi Wiz, by Carla Thomas.------
Remember, in the mostly mistaken Christian’s Bible, does it not say,
“Judge not, lest ye do 20 years to life!”
When we point a finger at another, are not three fingers pointing back at us (unless you’re Three Fingers Brown or there’s something seriously wrong with your manual motor skills!)
The Bible also says ( I have one of those Talking Bibles) –‘before you remove the mote from my eye, take the beam from your own’---(but why you’d be pointing the flashlight into your own eyes while trying to remove a speck from mine, I could never quite figure out!)
Sure, there are people we regard poorly of---But, do we stop to think of the millennia-long course of karma—of cause and effect that resulted in this person being the putz he is? Who or what is really to blame?---the answer is simple ---he is!! Nah, but I kid the concept of mercy and compassion and forgiveness.
I was discussing this very concept with my brother-in-law, Judge Ira Bagelmeister—a very enlightened man who sentenced the guilty to go out into the world and “face your bad karma like a man!!”
Since being removed from the bench for sentencing a serial killer to “create positive karma” by shaving his head and entertaining weary travelers at Miami International Airport with his chanting, dancing, juggling and levitating, he himself is facing charges for leaving bottles of fresh drinking water for people making the hot, wearying trek from where they parked their cars to the entrance of a hospital.
Let us remember the Native-American wisdom:
"Never judge a man before you walk a mile in his shoes---that way you’re a mile away and you’ve got his shoes!!”

Ciao!!!
