The Days of Whining Neurosis

*** I had to explain to my sister that just because she has a 401K, it doesn't mean she has $401,000 in the bank!

*** Three Dog Night sang "One is the Loneliest Number You'll Ever Do"---well, who doesn't like to be alone when they're doing number one?

*** Fans of Air Supply call themselves "Airheads"---well, at least they have no self-illusions!

*** Donald Trump has agreed to be the object of a new TV show, "Who Wants to Beat a Billionaire?"

*** Last time I was in New York I stayed at the Plaza. The bench was hard but I enjoyed feeding the pigeons.

*** One of my students thought Beethoven was a big dog, and wrote "For a Leash"!

*** He thought Chopin was in "Julius Caesar" and said "Etude, Brutus?"

*** I told him that Vivaldi wrote "The Four Seasons" He asked, "Did Frankie Valli ever write him back?

*** I had to tell him, "No, ex-FEMA head Mike Brown didn't write "Gone With the Wind".

*** Neil Sedaka wrote "Breaking Up is Hard to Do"---well, not really when you listen to his music.

Sedaka's back. Just don't ask him to turn around.
